I adore “Wicked” for so many reasons! Above all, the characters are incredibly charming. Elphaba, the character, really stands out to me. She was misunderstood and faced many challenges, but she was very determined and strong-willed.
We appreciate her journey of self-discovery and how she learns to embrace her unique identity. It’s refreshing to see a character that is depth, rather than traditional “good” and “bad” characters.
The magical world of Oz is another big attraction. It is full of vibrant colours, fantastical creatures and mesmerizing spells. The whole setting captures my imagination and I want to create a world within it. The idea of exploring a place where anything is possible is truly exciting.
The themes throughout the story resonate with me, with you. Friendship plays an important role, particularly the dynamic between Elphaba and Glynda. TTheir relationship highlights that friendships can be complex, with ups and downs, but they are also ultimately deeply rewarding.
