The Wrong Track Review
I really liked this movie and found it to be a nice, light-hearted entertaining film. Initially I wasn’t sure how this frustrating central character would carry the film, but he was charming enough to keep me watching, and his character develops nicely through the film.
Apart from this, it also has several subplots involving her family members, which have added to its interest. Sure the plot is a bit divided in places, but for the most part it’s believable enough to get the message across about family values and determination.
The cross country skiing scenes stood out as a major highlight. which also featured some amazing forest scenery. Being an Australian I couldn’t help but think that “The Birkin” cross country ski race was somewhat similar to our “City to Surf” recreational race which attracts thousands of participants.
It celebrates athletic success, but like Birkin it is equally about the determination to try, enjoy, and finish. If you want to watch a realistic drama then this is not for you but for some light hearted entertainment it is worth watching.
