The Gardener Review
I had never heard of Robert Broonzy before, but when you see this film, you understand why this man makes films. He looks like Charles Bronson. That’s it. He lacks both acting and fighting skills. He seems like a nice person and if you read about him you will find that he is a good person. But this person has made a business of making films.
This movie was very terrible. It is a 90 minute film and it only lasts for the first 50 minutes. Nothing is done, and when it is done, it is done poorly. The fight scenes are poorly executed.
The only person in the movie who has any real skill is the main bad guy, but the “choreography” on the fight scenes is so terribly done, it’s like watching little kids pretend to fight. They’re “fighting” slowly and you see the actors waiting and reacting to the next “punch”. It’s pathetic.
AAnd Broonzy, no matter what his press release claims, lacks any real fighting skills. It’s a shame we have to assume he’s a tough guy. Looking like Charles Bronson doesn’t mean you’re Bronson, and tweaking your last name to make it sound more like “Bronson” doesn’t mean you’ll become Charles Bronson. His “fight scenes” are pathetic
Looking at the posters for other Bronson movies, it seems they’re using actual Bronson photos in the posters. I think a lot of the time they’re hoping people mistake him for Charles Bronson and once you’ve paid for the movie you’re caught, you’re stuck with it.
Hopefully no one will fall into its trap. If I look like Brad Pit but have zero acting skills and someone wants to cast me in films, I will respectfully decline the offer because I have no acting experience.
I doubt this guy will make a few more movies, but he’s old and no one is paying for it when it comes out, wait. Hopefully as soon as possible.
