Holland Review
Overall, it held my attention. Good acting, although I’m starting to think Nicole Kidman can only play 4 different roles: She is the perfect housewife, a narcissistic boss lady, a seductive venom-spewing woman and a daring woman (which is a rare role for her these days).
This role was a combination of both (which is the most common) so the acting was good, but this has been seen before. My main complaint was the ending. I didn’t understand how Dave treated her after he helped her.
I also don’t understand why the writer/director chose “Vanish” without providing any explanation. This was recorded when they were finishing recording the birds. It was a great solution.
This is the worst point in a movie to make a mistake, as it is the last thing viewers will remember as their final emotion and in my opinion is the biggest factor in their final review. So this would have been a 4 star movie but it lost one star because of the ending. I still feel disappointed.
