Apocalypse Z: The Beginning of the End Review
Pretty good for a new Zombie movie. The zombies were really scary at times and their noises were great. I don’t usually a fan of fast-running zombies but these were surprisingly good.
The Walking Dead has covered so much ground that it’s really challenging to come up with fresh scenarios in these types of movies, so sometimes I felt like some parts were just typical TWD episode type parts. This was definitely a pretty basic zombie movie that didn’t include any other new ideas, but if you are a fan of this genre you’ll like it.
The ending felt like a bit of a cop out, like surely you could come up with something different or even just give them a happy ending seeing as though there’s no next chapter to come up right after to watch this.
Perhaps there was no need to consider the death of the wife and the cat sitting on the back of the motorcycle ridiculous. The cage they use to get to the helicopter also looks like it could have been in a Korean zombie series… but overall it was all very entertaining. good watch.
